Their Idols Are Silver and Gold

For persuading the children that trusting in idols is folly.

Father: Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths

Children: But do not speak

Father: They have eyes

Children: But do not see

Father: They have ears

Children: But do not hear

Father: They have noses

Children: But do not smell

Father: They have hands

Children: But do not feel

Father: They have feet

Children: But do not walk

Father: And they do not make a sound in their throat. Those who make them become like them;

Children: So do all who trust in them

Father: O Israel, trust in the LORD!

Children: He is their help and their shield

Father: O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD!

Children: He is their help and their shield

Father: You who fear the Lord, trust in the LORD!

Children: He is our help and our shield

All: The LORD has remembered us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron; he will bless those who fear the LORD, both the small and the great. Amen!
