Our Father in heaven,
Temptation is upon me,
It asks to be let in,
It promises good things to me,
From down below my shin,
But Satan is a liar
And fleeting are his pleasures
Christ has called me higher
Eternal are His treasures
Lord, grant me power to resist
And put the snake to flight
Draw near to me, great Father
And hold me in Your light
I ask in Jesus' name alone,
Amen
